Apparently they should all be available in Jewsons, although I struggled with their web site.

Gary I think is planning on having his meter inside so maybe a potential cost saving there Robert, although may need more "hockey sticks" I guess.

i seem to remember seeing a lot of teenage girls running around the cokethorpe fields on the way to witney with loads of hockey sticks ,maybe they could be persuaded to part with some ?!




but seriously ,how is gary going to have the meter inside ?does one chunk a hole in the wall ,run the new mains cable in ,and then stick the new meter where the old one was and connect it up ?if so that sounds doable .

my concern is , if i get back and the cable is lieing there capped off but live , is it ok for me to do the wall bit, and then will sse come and connect it to thier meter for me with it live ,? ill have to ask matt about that ,but as you say iain , it could save 50 odd quid ,doing it that way .
