well some new data recieved today ..got a mail from gary,thanks gary ,

rang sse yesterday to chase up latest quote to be told they can't give me any quotes for the
other 3 houses and you have to contact direct.
contact martin dopsom 01865 845805 he told me you have all had seperate quotes in the past i have
spoken to billy and iain about this. if there is anything you think i can do please let me know

so called up martyn ..
he told me that templewood and gary have both paid for supply ,the cable was ordered and it would not be a big enough cable to supply the other 3 houses ..

.. i went through all the options i could think of with him , he was tending to the idea of a transformer from across the rd ,which in the past hes allways said would cost a lot more .. i asked couldnt they put in a bigger cable ? , actually ,probably quicker if i show the mail i then sent him ..



hi martin , first let me say thanks for your patience in this matter .


we just spoke on the phone ,and discussed these options ..

1 putting in a bigger cable that will be able to supply the 3 other houses
,inot the trench to templewood ..extra cost to be met by 3 houses .
2)putting a 2nd cable in the same trench as the templewood cable.
3)putting in a transformer across the rd and bringing in supply from there .


i think thats about it ..i cant really believe your management would let
this situation occur with a smaller than necessary cable going in ,when
this situation has been so publicised ,and it would have been so easy to
just get in contact with the 3 houses to see if theyd want to be included
, but thats not your fault ..i know billy mcniel is in contact with perth
head office and hell take that up with them i think .


again thanks for your help ,i understand you have to take action based
upon your management policy .

i then called gary on his mobile ,thanks to veronica for letting me run up a bill ,and asked him about it , he was very good at explaining that hes been round all the houses with the engineer ,and that after looking at his plans for the quote he paid for this morning ,he could see that the cable was also 95 wavecon ,so this business of the cable being too small was not consistent ,with my quote from ages ago and the new quote ,,so i then sent this off to martyn ..

its 95 wavecon ... gary almond tells me this is also the size specified
for his and templewoods install loking at his quote and plan,,so how can
this be too small for the other 3 houses to go on ?

also gary is going to call up the contacts at sse he has and try to see whats going on .i called billys work and mob and left a message .

there sounds like theres a real possibility of templewood and gary getting connected ,and the 3 houses left out ,and stuck ,so we need to get cracking on this .

iv got ians link from micheal now so i hope i can link this blog into that too .


in case anyones sent me any mails , i have had no mails telling me all this was ginig on since this one from gary on the 4th jan .

Templewood are having electric supply brought up to their office starting on wed
i have made contact with SSE with a view of us linking onto this have an engineer
calling out tomorrow to have a look and give us some costing's will keep you
in the loop
